About Me

I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 53 years, this year, and have 7 children and 26 wonderful grandchildren. I was married when I was 18, in 1961. I was in Beauty College at the time. The Fancy name for it was Cosmetology School. :) We lived in Texas and then he got his orders to Germany. I went to Germany to be with my husband after our little girl Christi was born in 1963.

I love doing Humanitarian work and right now I am doing quilts, hats and clothes for our own little hospital. We have a song we sing at Relief Society in church and one part of it says" As women we do the errand of Angels." I really believe we do and I love it.

I am quilting right now for my large family and that keeps me very busy. And i belong to Nebo Modern Quilt Guild here in my little neck of the woods.

I love my oils, essential oils that is. The older i have gotten the more I need them. I like DoTerra Essential Oils. I will have suggestions and recipes on here too.

I started this blog in January of 2011 and I love doing it. This is the reason I started the blog.

You will find a story of my Pioneer ancestor Kate Emily Pillsbury born in 1861 in San Andreas, California. She was the daughter of Daniel Hackett Pillsbury who came into California from New Hampshire and Delia (Bridget) Curley who came from Athlone Westmeath, Ireland.

When times were really hard I would pull out the story "As Queens Ride By" and hold my head up and soldier on.

On my blog you will find funny and scary stories of my families adventures as we travel through this life together.

Love,
Grammy T.
