It's Great To See Better!

Boswella Tree
Hi all, I have had Wet Macular Degeneration for a few years that was caused by using Advair. I had shots in my eye to help it but that didn't help very much at all and I was allergic to the shots. I was taking Frankincense internally for arthritis and when I went to my eye doctor again to get another shot for the WMD he said, "you don't need a shot, your WMD is going away." I asked him what I had done and he said there was nothing I could have done to make the change and to come back in two months and he would check me again. When I got in the car I told my husband that it must have been the frankincense that I was taking in capsules that had started to clear my eye.

It hadn't fully cleared up and I had stopped taking the frankincense daily thinking I didn't need it for the arthritis. Since then I came up with another concoction for my capsules that has frankincense, clove, orange, sandalwood and lavender oils for another condition. Guess what? After taking that for three days I can read with my right eye this morning. Wow!! Ask me how I love essential oils. :)

I've had cancer twice and I really don't want to get it again so I am using preventive measures. I had breast cancer in 1986 and thyroid cancer in 2007 with the operations and treatments that went with them. If you research frankincense and cancer on Google you will come up with the studies.

Did I tell you that I have developed an allergy for almost all prescriptions? Well I have. It's crazy so therefore I am constantly studying other means of healing.

Melissa is another essential oil I take in a capsule daily. It is wonderful. Expensive but so worth it. I cut all the oils with fractionated coconut oil before I put them in the capsule. Study Melissa too. It is so good and can mellow you right out. I call it my Happy Pill. It's good for a restful nights sleep too and at my age that is a wonder to behold. :)

So long until we meet again.

Adios.

Boo-Boo Sticks

Rosemary Bush

A few months ago I began a weird journey. What you ask? Well I was allergic to almost all medications. Nice right! So if I took high blood pressure medications my blood pressure became higher, etc.  Finally the specialist said "stop taking medications". So I did. I take a couple but have had to look for alternative methods for some problems. I already used a few things to help me be healthier but now I had to really search. As you know I have had  Breast Cancer and Thyroid Cancer and had the treatments that went with those; operations, chemo, radiation and iodine radiation. And those treatments have left me with a few problem too. But they saved my life so we know they were necessary and I am so thankful for the help from the medical community.

Pain medications raise my blood pressure and gave me asthma. So what have I found to replace them? Essential oils. I have some recipes I use a lot. My favorites for pain are numerous but I like lavender, lemongrass, wintergreen, clove, peppermint  and more. I do use a very good pure and organic brand doTerra. It is self tested with every batch of oils made.

I have always had asthma so I have found oils that help with that. I mix a few and put them in boo-boo sticks which are a roller bottle. I choose the oils that will help with asthma, bronchitis, flu/colds and my immune system. I rub them on the places that need help. I roll them in my hands, rub them together and inhale them for a while. I always put them on the bottom of my feet. Then I roll some on my thumb and stick it to the top of my mouth and let it absorb into my system that way. It works for me and stops my sneezing and coughing immediately.

And the boo-boo stick is so fun and easy and came to us via my niece who lives in France now. What oils do I use for these problems? Clove, Cinnamon Bark, Rosemary, Grapefruit Seed, Lemon, Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Frankincense, etc. What is the etc.? Orange oil is awesome and if you put it in a diffuser it smells wonderful. I put the drops in a roller bottle add a carrier oil, coconut or  grape or almond oil and you have a boo-boo stick. Easy peasy.

And can you imagine for little kids how fun to have their own Boo-Boo Stick with Lavendar and melaluca,  etc. to make their owies better. :)

To order go to my order page. And if you have any questions email  me or comment and i will help you.

Some of my little creams
This has been so fun for me to do.

1 1/2 cups water
1 tsp. citric acid
Heat until citric acid is completely melted, add:
4 Tbls. Emulsifying wax (or beeswax)
2 tsp.glycerin
2 Tbls. (heaping) steric acid
heat until all is melted, don't boil, add:
1/3 cup Fractionated Coconut Oil and Rose Hip Oil - mixed half and half.
1 teaspoon (5ml) Vitamin E Oil.
Whip with an immersion blender.
Now add the 1/2 cup ice water or ice chips (more is fine if needed to make light and fluffy.).
When cooler add:
8 drops Lavender essential oil
1 drop Chamomile essential oil
8 drops Geranium EO
4 drops Lemongrass EO
6 drops Rose Absolute EO
5 drops Vanilla EO
2 drops Ylang Ylang EO
2 drops Peppermint EO

When cool - Whip, Whip, Whip with an emmersion blender until all light and fluffy.

Reminders:
Be sure to heat water to almost boiling for citric acid
Use 1/2 or more cups of ice chips or ice water and whip until light and fluffy
For the sake of the oils don't add the essential oils until the mixture is cool.

Put in little jars with lids. You will love it. Your face will love it. Your friend's faces will love it!

Handmade Lotions with Essential Oils and Bach Flowers

Home Made Creams and Recipes

I learned how to make all natural lotions from my sweet
neighbors Julie and Francine.

Here is the basic recipe;
1 1/2 cups Water
4 Tbs. Emulsifying Wax
2 tsp. Glycerin
1/3 cup Sweet Almond, Grape-seed or Fractionated Coconut Oil
2 Tbs. (heaping)  Steric Acid
1 tsp. Citric Acid

Mix all ingredients in a bowl and microwave for 2 minutes or until water is milky whit, careful not to boil. When it has cooled some (I add some ice cubes to help it cool) blend with an immersion blender until smooth and fluffy. Add you oils and and blend again. Then pour it into jars or bottles.

I have made:
  • Queens Cream (a cleanser)
  • Day Dreamer (a moisturizer)
  • Diva Dreams (a moisturizer for day and night)
  • Night Watch ( fabulous night moisturizer and repair for night time)
  • Desert Diva (An Aloe based gel moisturizer for those "too much sun times".)
  • Sulky Sultan (A Bach flower and essential oil Rescue cream) for anxiety and stress.
  • Flower Power (A Bach flower and essential oil Energy cream) for a natural pick me up. -     16 drops Energy Bach Flowers and a little essential oil of you choice.
Do those sound fun or what? We have all noticed a difference in our own skin since we have used these new face body care products. They are fun to make and fun to use.
